Having added the World cup to the European championships they won two years ago, it really makes you wonder just how good this team really is. It also shows that European football is becoming a dominant force, as at one time the South American countries were the ones to keep an eye out in the tournaments, not anymore!

Well done to Holland and Spain for winning their Semi Finals and lets hope the final is the best game of the tournament. As the first semi final was definitely better then the second and to be honest I think I have definitely seen better games. Let’s hope both teams try and go for the win in the final and are not scared of losing but go on the attack.

I have to say the Quarter Finals were very entertaining and my favourite match had to be Uruguay V Ghana just for the drama of the ending. I mean could you ever get more of a dramatic ending with extra time being played the last kick of the game being a penalty that would have won the Match for Ghana.

I have to say I have been very disappointed with the first round of matches in the world cup. Too many teams have had the attitude that they cannot afford to lose the first match which has resulted in a very defensive attitude and a lack of goals. Also, all the big teams have not performed to their high standards which have resulted in the shock of the World Cup so far of Spain losing their first match.

In what many were calling the title decider Barcelona took a big step towards the title by beating Real Madrid in there own stadium comfortably. In what many pundits were billing Messi V Ronaldo, the man who stole the show was Xavi who was outstanding and clearly the best player on the field and it was his two inch perfect passes that set up both the goals.
