On the whole the second round has provided lots of excitement and very good matches. There was only one really boring game and that was the one between Paraguay V Japan, but I am happy Paraguay made it through.
What a whimper, with the sun shining and the hottest day of the year so far, England have made it all doom and gloomy with a 4 – 1 loss to Germany. I don’t think it can get any worse for England supporters and I feel sorry for the people who have spent all that money to go out to South Africa to follow their beloved team, who were absolutely sh*t.
Now that the competition is at the last 16 stage, what’s your take on the World Cup so far? No doubt it’s one of the most eagerly awaited competitions in the world, and we’ve all waited so long for this World Cup to come, and here it is, but has it lived up to expectations?
Hi everyone, we thought we’d bring some more World Cup fever to Tara Magazine, and to bring some of Africa into our lives, so what better way than to bring some Waka Waka in our lives. So, sit back and relax and let Shakira hypnotise you with her official World Cup 2010 song for South Africa.
In general, the second rounds of matches were much better then the first with a few notable exceptions, especially England who played much worse in there second game and did not even look likely to score, at least they were not as bad as the French who deservedly lost. The reason the games were better in general was that many teams could not afford to lose so had to attack more which made for more exciting games.
It is about time Capello earned his vast salary and make the tough decision which will help England win the game they can not afford to lose. First he has to drop Heskey as we need goals in the last match and he is not very likely to score. The other thing he has to do is start with Joe Cole as he is one of the most creative and skilful English players and we will need that to break down a team who will defend in numbers.

I have to say I have been very disappointed with the first round of matches in the world cup. Too many teams have had the attitude that they cannot afford to lose the first match which has resulted in a very defensive attitude and a lack of goals. Also, all the big teams have not performed to their high standards which have resulted in the shock of the World Cup so far of Spain losing their first match.
