There were few films that released in April such as, Prince, Phook 2, Paathshaala and Jaana Kahan Se Aayi Hai however none of these films done well at the box office and their music failed to impress the audience too.  Exception to one of the songs from Paathshaala which holds the third place in my APRIL TOP 5 SONGS then rest of the songs within the TOP 5 are from the two forthcoming films, Kites and Housefull, which released their music in April.

1ST OH GIRL YOU’RE MINE (HOUSEFULL) Beautiful romantic song with a lively and energetic theme.  It is a catchy song so once you hear it then you begin to sing yourself and want to hear it again!  The dance number has a sensuous video to enhance its quality further, as it is shot on Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh and Jiah Khan on an Italian beach.

The song uses a good combination of instruments and the beats to the part Dil mein tumhare chupa di hai maine to apni ye jaan, Ab tum hi isko sambhalo hume apna hosh kahan are very catchy and foot tapping.  It is a beautiful song with a very meaningful and true title, Zindagi do pal ki.

Powerful voice of Kailesh Kher is given to this meaningful song which has value in its each lyric…

Oo aye khuda teri marzi ke aagey kya hoga hai pataa
Tu jo chahe waisa samaa ho teri razaa

One of my all time favourite songs is Ya Rabba from Salaam-E-Ishq sung by Kailesh Kher and now this track must be added to the list too.

4TH DIL KYUN YEH (KITES) As I mentioned in the Kites music review, nice romantic song, melodious and smoothly sang. I love the chorus lines… Dil Kyun Yeh Mera Chor Kare, Idhar nahin udhar nahin, Teri ore chale.   Everyone in love will feel touched by the lyrics of the song as it’s immensely romantic.

There are classical lyrics used… Apni to jaise taise, thodi aise ya waise, Ho apni to jaise taise, thodi aise ya waise katt jayegi, Aapka kya hoga janaab-e-aali, aapka kya hoga, which is a tribute to the original singer Kishore Kumar.  It is an energetic, foot tapping, dance number which is beautifully sung by Mika, Sunidhi Chauhan as lead singers.

Do you agree with my selection for the songs for the April Top 5 Songs?  If you prefer any other song over my selections then let me know!

Look forward to the Top 5 songs list for next month!
