The Clash of the Titans at the Expendables of the Green Hornet with the Inception of the A Team as Jonah Hex is no Iron Man as Harry Potter reads a Toy Story at the Deathly Hallows under an Eclipse.

If last year was anything to go by in the movie world, then 2010 should be no less exciting. This year could see some surprise blockbusters, although you won’t see huge budget movies like Avatar, 2012 or Transformers 2: Revenge of The Fallen (I have to say sadly, as I thoroughly enjoyed those two movies). However, there are still many movies to look forward to that could surprise us all.

Here is a list of my 10 films, which I think will be the films to look out for in 2010, in no particular order:

The Expendables

This movie could quite possibly be the biggest movie of 2010, with probably the biggest cast list in movie history. It can only be described as Rambo on steroids. Our team of heroes are sent to a South American country to overthrow a dictator.

Cast: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Mickey Rourke with appearances by Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Clash of the Titans

If like me, you grew up watching the original Clash of the Titans, you must have asked yourselves many times over when on earth a re-make was coming. Well here it is, finally, might I add. Perseus is once again caught in the middle of the warring gods, and he must do everything possible to save the world from the evil Hades. This should be a visual treat.

Cast: Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes.

The Green Hornet

I have vague recollections of watching The Green Hornet as a kid, mainly due to Bruce lee, so eagerly await the upcoming movie this year. By day, Britt Reid is a publisher at The Daily Sentinel, but by night, he’s fighting crime with his trusted side-kick Kato (I have to say Jay Chou as Kato has a tough job in filling the boots of Bruce Lee here). My only gripe here is that I just can’t see Seth Rogen as a crime-fighter; I’m hoping he will prove me wrong though.

Cast: Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz and Jay Chou.

The A Team

Who you gonna call…Ghostbust…sorry I mean The A Team. Yes, they’re back! The team of crack commandos on the run from the military are there to help you, find them, hire them, they’re The A Team. Mr T and Co are back in the big screen version of the hit US 80’s series, and I pity those fools who get in there way.

Cast: Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

Inception

This is a futuristic sci-fi thriller. It’s set in a time where one can enter a persons mind, and the most powerful weapon is a single thought. It has the power to make history or to destroy it. With a reported $200m budget, it could definitely be the movie to look out for in 2010.

Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page.

Jonah Hex

I have to say I’m quite looking forward to this one for two reasons, firstly, it’s a zombie movie and secondly for Megan Fox. Set in the Wild West, as Jonah Hex hunts down the undead. It could receive a cult following in the same vein as the Underworld series if Hex gets sequels under its belt.

Cast: Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, John Malkovich.

Iron Man 2

Billionaire Tony Stark and his play toy Iron Man returns for more action this year, as the pressures of his identity revealed takes its toll. Along with his side-kicks he must once again battle his enemies.

Cast: Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L Jackson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mickey Rourke.

Toy Story 3

Woody and Buzz Lightyear are back for more animated antics as Buzz and his pals get dumped at a daycare centre at the mercy of the pre-school children. Laughter and mayhem ensue as Woody must come to the rescue of Buzz and his friends. With this expected to be a 3D release, it could be a huge hit.

Cast (voices): Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Michael Keaton, John Cusack and Whoopi Goldberg.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1

The Potter saga continues, and this time The Deathly Hallows is split in two parts, no doubt to squeeze every last penny from the viewers. Harry’s archenemy Voldemort returns stronger than ever, and it’s going to take Harry Potter and his friends everything they have to defeat Voldemort. The Deathly Hallows represents the final chapter in the highly successful Harry Potter series, and there’s no doubt the fans will be flocking to see this instalment.

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Ralph Fiennes.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

I can’t say I’m all too clued up when it comes to The Twilight books, as I’ve never read them before, but the movies are certainly proving to be successful, and Eclipse should be no different. The Werewolf vs Vampire saga continues as Bella is left a tough choice to make: Her love for Edward (vampire) or her friendship with Jacob (werewolf). Either choice may cost her, her life.

Cast: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner.

No doubt 2010 is going to be an exciting year, and as well as the above mentioned films there will be many more to cater for everyone’s taste, I for one, cannot wait for all these movies to release.

Thank you IMPAwards.com, the respective designers/artists and Yahoo Movies (respectively) for providing all the Posters for this post.
