Apple has confirmed the iPhone 4 is available to pre-order from their online store. The phone is only available in black to the UK at the moment but when released the phone will be available in both black and white.

The iPhone 4 is only available sim-free from the Apple Store; you are looking at £499 for the 16GB and £599 for the 32GB. You would have to sort out your own sim card from the network provider of your choice. They also confirmed the phone comes with free shipping and will be delivered on the 24th June.

I am personally with O2 and have had the iPhone 3GS since August 2009, and signed a 24 month contract. O2 are giving their customer the option of buying out your contract at £20 a month, it is a lot less than the £45 a month I am paying at the moment, but they haven’t confirmed how much I will have to pay for the iPhone 4 handset, so I will not be upgrading at the moment.

Will you be buying the iPhone 4?
