One thing I have to say about Tiranga is that it is the most consistent restaurant I have ever been to (consistently good I might add), an opinion which is echoed by all my friends who have eaten at the establishment. I have yet to walk out of Tiranga disappointed, which is why I highly recommend you pay a visit there. The grand menu will appease any taste bud out there, as they have an extensive Indo-Chinese menu.

The only problem with my eating out habits is that I have become so set in my ways in that I tend to order the same dish no matter where I go out to eat. My all time favourite is the Garlic Chilli Chicken, and anyone who knows me, knows that I love my food fiery. I have even tried the volcanic Chicken Phall (the hottest dish ever) and conquered it. Tiranga, definitely do a very good Garlic Chilli Chicken, so on that basis alone it’s a thumbs up from me. It’s probably in your best interest to eat your favourite dish in many different restaurants to separate the good ones from the bad ones.

As I mentioned above, Tiranga has a broad menu to cater for all, as it also has a large selection of Vegetarian food which includes traditional Indian food like Bhel (a popular Indian snack) and Dosa (plain pancakes with a variety of fillings). Then you have all the usual suspects like a variety of Sizzlers, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken Szechuan, Noodles, plus all your favourite dishes like Korma/ Dhansak/ Tikka Masala/ Bhuna etc and for the vegetarians you have Daals, Bombay Aloo, Palak Paneer, and Aloo Gobi.

In terms of decor, the restaurant itself has a very traditional Indian theme with emphasis on the Independence of India. However, the restaurant is slightly on the small side, larger premises would be ideal to give it space without having the feeling of being over-crowded. All this, however, becomes irrelevant as you start to enjoy your food. It does have it’s small bar area, so you can enjoy a drink prior to your meal.

Overall, Tiranga rates quite highly for me just on food alone. The only setback is that due to location there is no parking, and your left with having to park in the side streets, which can make it quite difficult to park as the streets around Melton Road get quite busy. If you can look past the parking issues, then Tiranga is definitely worth a visit.
