Ask Restaurant, Leicester

When it comes to restaurants in Leicester, I would have to say that ASK on Silver Street, is the one I have gone to more than others.  The Ask restaurant chains are well known for being a leading name in the casual dining market and with nearly 120 restaurants in the UK you know you are in good hands.

The food is always of a very high standard and I have never been disappointed by the quality or quantity. On the menu there is a good range of different Pizza, Pastas, Salads and Al Forno dishes. So for starter I went for a Bushchetta, which as per usual was delicious. Some places always end up getting either the sauce wrong or over cook the bread but this was perfect. For the main course I went for something new and different for a change, it stood out on the menu and really appealed to me, Polpette Al Forno, which is pasta tubes with beef meatballs, green chillies, fire roasted peppers and onions in a pomdorno sauce. Absolutely Yummy! It was an absolute gorgeous dish too with all the different flavours exploding in the mouth. I could not have dessert with the food on this occasion, over eating is never good for anyone.

The service in ASK is always of a high standard, staff always eager to help and make your dining experience a memorable one. We were greeted at the door and quickly shown to our table, where we were presented with the menus and we quickly had our drinks order taken and not long after food order was taken. The Staff at ASK are very knowledgeable about the food they have on the menu and are always on hand to help and recommend something. Our Starters were with us in 15 minutes and we were offered some time in between courses so we were never rushed to eat and leave.

Ask Restaurant, Leicester

The food is reasonably priced for the city centre, you are looking at an average of £20 a head for a three course meal which some might thinks is over the top but for the service and quality it goes a long way.

Would I visit again?

You would have to show me another restaurant chain in the UK that shows this level of consistency every time you visit to stop me going back to ASK. My experiences have never let me down, either being in a large group or just a couple. You will definitely come back for more.
