Antibos Leicester Signature

Antibos, Leicester

Since I have not been to Antibos for a while, I thought it was worthwhile checking out this eatery as I fancied something different and definitely didn’t fancy another curry.

I have to say the food was of high quality and all the dishes we had were nice with very good portions, although we only had the Mains and the complimentary Olives.

I had the Lamb Chops as I’ve not had these for a while and I was not disappointed at all as they tasted really nice especially with the mint sauce. The good thing was that there was plenty of meat on the chops, since sometimes you can be left with two or three chops with hardly any meat on them but this was definitely not the case here.

Lamb Shank

Another dish worth trying is the Calzone as it was one of the biggest I have seen and you may struggle to eat one all on your own but it was tasty with plenty of fillings. The Pastas are also very good and the one we tried was the Penne Alla Crema and it was also a good dish in terms of proportion and taste.

The service was of a very good quality as it was fast, efficient, friendly and helpful. Since I was not sure whether to go for the Fish or Lamb, I went with the recommendation from the waitress of the Lamb Chops and was not left disappointed.

Restaurant/ Atmosphere

I liked the place and found it very open with plenty of space. It is an ideal place for groups of all sizes from small intimate meetings to large ones celebrating a special occasion. Due to the size of the place they could cater for all. This is a good thing as at the front of the venue they had one large group but where we were sitting at the back you did not even notice them. I have been to other smaller venues when they do have one large group they tend to overtake the venue; this was definitely not the case due to the size of the place.

I think the price was very reasonably for what we had. It’s not cheap or too expensive but I would say value for money. I would say for a Starter, Mains and a Drink, you’re looking at roughly £20, which to me isn’t too bad a price for the quality you are getting.

Would I Visit Again?

That is definitely a yes, not to mention my friends who accompanied me also gave it a thumbs up, so looks like we should be back there soon enough. Being situated on London Road, Leicester – I have to compliment the location, as it’s near both the Railway Station and walking distance from the City Centre.
