My Top 5 Eateries In Leicester

With Leicester being one of the most multi-cultural towns in the world, this makes Leicester very lucky when it comes to the variety of different types of restaurants and dishes available to you. Even though I’m Indian myself, you just can’t get bored of an Indian (dish), hence the choice of my top five restaurants.

Haveli – Top of my list, only went there a few days ago. For £15, you get to eat all you like and drink all you like, and that includes alcohol. But the quality of the food is superb. Service is great and atmosphere is so homely and comfortable. This is one Indian restaurant you will want to try tonight!

Vishals Restaurant – Based only five minutes walk away from my house, it’s so easy to get there, to eat and drink, well without having to pay for a taxi. However, the main reason for liking this restaurant is just for the sheer quality of its food, can be pricey but definitely worth it! They deliver also to customers out of town, and that’s saying something.

New Shahi Nan Kebab – Based on Catherine Street, there is only one thing I order when I walk into this place, and “Chicken donor with fresh naan” is the order. When you’re feeling hungry, and you want something quick, something that will kill your hunger satisfactorily? (Oh I think I might just go there right now) well this order will kill your hunger in style, especially with the sauces they throw on – Amazing!

Tinsel Town – American diner and Milkshake Bar. Based in the city centre, it has a very chilled out atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to take someone out on a first date, as it’s not too quite but more funky of a place to eat in. Burgers are great in there and the desserts are fantastic. Anybody want to go with me?

Zizzi’s – I had the best ever pizza there the other day. A bit on the pricey side but the Italian style pizza was enormous and so edible as I completed it all which I don’t normally do. It just goes to show how nice the food is. The restaurant and service itself is great, as a member of their staff shared some of her jokes with us and she was actually funny.
