Red Bull’s dominate yet again! With a one-two in qualifying, Red Bull followed it up with first and third place in the race. Webber dominated the whole weekend with pole position in qualifying and was in the lead from the first corner of the race to the end. As long as the Red Bull’s do not have any reliability issues I can see the Red Bull’s being at the front of the grid for the rest of the season. Currently they are third in the Constructer’s Championship, but only six points behind the leaders which could all change in the next race.
Button still leads the Driver’s Championship but his lead has been cut to 3 points by Alonso who performed well in his home grand prix and split the Red Bull’s up by coming second, then after the two of them it is Vettel and Webber behind them in third and fourth place respectively. Though with the way their car performed this weekend they must be confident that soon they will be top of the table. I believe as long as it does not rain the Red Bull’s look to dominate and they are the team to beat.
Hamilton must be disappointed as he was all set to finish second until he got a puncture on the penultimate lap so he can count himself unlucky as there was nothing he could do about it, but it is just one of those things that can happen in racing.
Schumacher had his best performance of the season so far by some distance and came fourth in the race. He performed well and held Button off for much of the race, who tried as much as he did, could not find a way past him despite having what looked like the faster car.
Overall it was definitely not a very exciting race if only it could rain at every race. However, we do have the Monaco GP to look forward to next weekend, though it may not be the most exciting race with lots of overtaking, it is definitely one of if not the most glamorous race of the season.
