Call me a businessman, a man of the moment or simply Mr Hotel! I’ve stayed in nearly all the main Hotels in Leicester and I’ll be able to find you the right Hotel for the right occasion. From swimming facilities to feathered pillows in the Marriot Hotel, I’ve experienced Hotel life in Leicester for the past 10 years now.
Below are my top 5 hotels:
- Marriot Hotel – Easily the favourite one. Might be away from the city centre, but it feels as if you are away from your daily routine as it looks amazing inside and gives me the feeling of being on holiday (includes a bar, restaurant, gym and swimming pool). Not to forget the feathered pillows they have – amazing quality all round!
- Travel Lodge – If you can pre-plan your Hotel stay here, you can save a lot of money booking in advance with Travel Lodge. £19 for family rooms, so in terms of value for money you can’t go wrong. Location is another key factor, based in the city centre and right next door to Gala Casino, play your cards right, you could even get the room(s) for free!
- Stage Hotel – A swimming pool is essential at times whilst staying in a Hotel. For only a few quid extra, Stage Hotel gives you a gym and swimming pool. In terms of facilities, Stage Hotel also provides a bar, restaurant and banqueting suites.
- Campanile – My most visited hotel in my lifetime, main reason being for its quality service and its friendly atmosphere. If you don’t want to walk into town a taxi ride won’t cost any more than £5. Bar and banqueting suite also available.
- Ibis – Walking distance to all the bars in town, 2 minute walk from the Railway Station, perfect if you haven’t got a car.
Other Hotels I’ve stayed at in Leicester are:

- Premiere Inn
- Hilton Hotel
- Sky Plaza
