Nadal wins the French Open again and regains his number one world ranking. If he wins it again next season he will equal Bjorn Borg’s record of six French open titles. He won it again this year without dropping a set, as he has done previously and went the whole clay court season without losing a match and this just proves how good he is on clay and how much better he is compared to the other players.  I think as long as he stays fit he will easily beat Borg’s record.

The final was not a classic as it was too one-sided but there were some excellent plays by both players. Nadal was just too good for Robin Soderling no matter what Soderling tried Nadal had the answer. Soderling did not play bad at all it was just that Nadal was on top of his game and no matter how good the shot was by Soderling, somehow Nadal reached it and not only hit it back but hit a winner as well.

If Nadal carries on playing on clay how he does, he can win as many tournaments as he wants as long as his knees stay ok, as he is only 24 and can win many more tournaments and could be classed as one of the greatest players especially on clay.

What did you make of the final?

How good do you think Nadal is?
