Journey To San Francisco

San Francisco, California, is an iconic city famous the world over and well worth checking out. It has lots of famous places to see and famous residents who live in the city. There are lots of things you can do in the city and you could end up spending quite of a bit of time in the city if you wanted to see everything.

When going site seeing the place you have to go is the bay-area as that is where you will have best access to see the sites of San Francisco, as you can catch boats/ferries to see the famous Golden Gate Bridge or Alcatraz. Though California is famous for being hot if you do catch a boat in San Francisco it can get quite cold there at night so make sure you go attired appropriately. One of the most famous sites is the San Francisco Harbour Bridge. It is the most iconic bridge there even though there are others that are actually bigger and carry more cars. When you do go to the Quay area Alcatraz and the San Francisco Bridge is a must. Whilst there the area is also renowned for its fresh sea food and the speciality there is the fresh clam chowder and if you are into your sea food it is very nice.

One of the best ways to see the city is one of the tourist buses which follow a route round the city and allow you to jump on and off as much as you like, so you can choose where to get off and spend more time, as this will allow you to go all the main shopping areas and see other sites like China Town and some of the famous buildings and museums. There are plenty places you can go for the shopping, it also has the second biggest Macy’s store in the U.S.A and there are lots of other designer stores. Another way of seeing the city and a thing that San Francisco is famous for is it trams and it is worth going on one just to say you have been on one as they are truly memorable. If you are travelling the city by foot, it can get quite tiring as San Francisco has lots of steep hills, evidence of this can be found on Lombard Street, one of the most famous streets in San Francisco, purely because it is one of the most crooked streets in the world.

If you have been to San Francisco gives us your thoughts or where else would you recommend going in the U.S.A.
