Not everyday you sit in front of your TV and watch history being made, but I can tell you it is a great feeling when you do.  I witnessed the longest tennis match ever played between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut, which finished 70-68 in the deciding set, in favour of John Isner.

The match which finished after 11 hours and five minutes was played over 3 days. John Isner took the match 6-4 3-6 6-7 (7-9) 7-6 (7-3) 70-68.

I was really excited when the match started, even though I have not ever seen either player playing before.  By the time play began in court 18, people were glued to the big screen on Henman Hill and all around the court.  It was like a final match being played at Wimbledon.

After the match finished I was thinking, “What can you do in that time?” The time they took to finish the game (11hours and five minutes). Its like in that time you can travel cross the world, England can reach the world cup final if they play for that long.

Do you think this was the greatest match ever? What would you do in 11 hours and five minutes?
