With the Foxes and Tigers winning at the weekend things could not get better especially with the gorgeous weather on Saturday. Leicester City’s win means that the Foxes have made it the play-offs and have a chance of returning to the premiership, where they belong. The good thing about the play-offs is that anybody can win it.
Though I would have to admit that Forest will probably be favourites to go up via the play-offs but anything could happen. I for one will be hoping that Leicester can do it and make it up, but has it come a season to soon for them? For as much as I want Leicester to make it up, I know if they do get promoted, they will struggle to stay up like so many championships teams do when they get promoted. Also looking at who will be getting relegated from the Premiership this season (Hull, Burnley and Portsmouth) I would say if Leicester do not go up this season next season they should be aiming for a top two finish next season and get automatic promotion, hopefully though Wembley here we come.
Leicester Tigers win means they will finish the season at the top of the table which will give them home advantage for the semi-final play-off. With Tigers home record at Welford Road they must be favourites to get to the final no matter who they face. With one game left of the season they will have the luxury of being able to rest some players. But will they go for the win in the final game against Saracens, or risk fielding a weekend team and give Saracens the chance of overtaking Northampton to second place. If it was me I would just rest the players as there is no point risking any injuries at this late stage of season.
Come on the Tigers and Foxes.
