X Factor: Semi-Final Elimination

Stacey Solomon, Olly Murs and Joe McElderry were the only three semi-finalists left in the competition and the pressure was built to such an extent that each contestant had to perform a duet with one of the best singers in the World. Stacey performed with Michael Buble, Olly sang with Robbie Williams and Joe was paired with George Michael. Of course, it must have been incredibly difficult for the contestants to perform with the singers who they have idolised for all their life. Yet, it was important for the semi-finalists to give the performance of their lives and be able to outshine their singing talent against their partner.

The performance of Olly Murs and Robbie Williams was outstanding, as both the singers are known to be fantastic entertainers and when they performed together then there was an entertaining magic formed. On the other hand, the performance of Joe McElderry and George Michael was breathtaking as the pair hit the high vocals effortlessly. However, the duet of Stacey Solomon and Michael Buble did not succeed in creating the same sparkle as the other two performances. So, Stacey lost her place for the Finale as she did not receive enough votes by her fans to keep her in the competition until the end.

Reportedly, Simon Cowell has stated that Stacey lost her place in the competition as she should have been kept how she is as a person. He claimed that there should not have been attempts made to change her appearance more like Leona Lewis as Stacey felt uncomfortable in the long gowns and this affected her singing.

Nevertheless, the X Factor 2009 has two strong contestants, Joe McElderry and Olly Murs and the Nation are eager to know the Winner!
