With the World Cup over I thought I might create my World Cup XI. Let me know what you think and if you agree with it or not? I have decided to go with a 3-4-3 formation simply because it is always the attackers who impress the most and this is the best way of fitting in all the players that impressed.

If they did the Razzie Awards for Sports: then England have already won. According to Fifa’s post-tournament rankings, the 2010 World Cup proved to be the worst ranking for England in their World Cup history.

Having added the World cup to the European championships they won two years ago, it really makes you wonder just how good this team really is. It also shows that European football is becoming a dominant force, as at one time the South American countries were the ones to keep an eye out in the tournaments, not anymore!

Well done to Holland and Spain for winning their Semi Finals and lets hope the final is the best game of the tournament. As the first semi final was definitely better then the second and to be honest I think I have definitely seen better games. Let’s hope both teams try and go for the win in the final and are not scared of losing but go on the attack.

With the Semi Finals of the World Cup over, the top three of the dream team are still in the same position which does not really surprise me as I thought I would not be able to regain the top spot and my chances have probably reduced further now.

Well the leadership of the league has changed hands again and I am no longer at the top. With the Quarter Finals over there are only 4 games remaining now so will the lead change again? I wish I had picked more German players, but I bet everybody is thinking that now.

I have to say the Quarter Finals were very entertaining and my favourite match had to be Uruguay V Ghana just for the drama of the ending. I mean could you ever get more of a dramatic ending with extra time being played the last kick of the game being a penalty that would have won the Match for Ghana.
