Half Season Ticket At The Walkers Is Excellent Value

This season, after the good season we’ve had, I have tried getting to most matches and now I will not be missing a home match until the season is over as my brother, knowing the passion I have for supporting my home town club, has purchased me a mini season ticket. When it arrived the other day I had the same feeling of a “kid in a candy store” with the mouth watering fixtures which are due to be played between now and the end of the season.

Foxes Win Back The Pride!

After writing about going to the Walkers stadium last week to watch the eagerly anticipated East Midlands derby, I only thought it would be right to let you know how we got on. The day started off with a normal gym session to balance the guilt of a day of drinking followed by cooking a quick lunch up for mates who were due to arrive from Nottingham and Derby. By the way if you’re wondering what I rustled up it was Prawn curry on Indo Chinese rice washed down by few alcoholic beverages.

Restaurant Review: Grand Durbar, Leicester

Grand Durbar, Leicester

Grand Durbar has always been an excellent place to go and eat at. Located off the main part of Belgrave Road on Melton Road, it has an excellent reputation for satisfying diners. Interestingly enough the word “Durbar” means an entertainment chamber with the first one taking place in 1877 to recognise Queen Victoria as the empress of India. The restaurant has been established since 1988 which for me was a fine year as it was the birth year of my brother.

Are Business Partnerships More Like A Marriage?

Couple Holding Hands on Swing Set

Following on from last week’s post this week I will be talking about business partnerships. So what defines a partnership? A Partnership is when two or more people combine to form a business unit. The restriction to the number of people used to be 20 partners but now this has been lifted and no definite limitations exist. Each partner has a right to receive a percentage of the dividends depending on the amount they invested initially.

How To Become A Millionaire?

We’ve all wanted to start up our own business but it is only a small minority that actually go ahead and take a risk. Furthermore only a small percentage of businesses actually succeed so why do people persist in trying? Some of the things that lure people into business are factors such as the opportunity to earn significant money, being your own boss, working your own hours and not being told what to do. If these elements sound familiar the thought of having your very own business may have crossed your mind.

No.1 Test Nation: India Thrash Tigers

Over the past few weeks there has been an intriguing test match taking place in Bangladesh, where the host nation have been taking on the superstars of India. The opposition are the number one ranked test nation based on the ICC’s table which is based on various criteria. Bangladesh are a relatively new test playing nation who apart from the odd ‘giant killing’ act in the shorter form of the game such as one day cricket and T20 rarely are able to win matches of cricket against the established test playing nations.

Avatar 3D (2009) – Just Another Sci-Fi Fantasy?

I recently went to view this film directed by James Cameron in the cinemas and enjoyed it so much that I thought I’d better write an article for all of you to enjoy. The film itself uses new cinema technologies to provide a unique 3D enhanced experience which for me was totally breath taking as it exhibits never seen before smooth animations which sometimes even resemble ‘real life’ people. Before watching this film, I had the impression it might just be another fantasy sci-fi film which almost put me off going to watch it, however I’m truly glad I did.

Is Tendulkar The Best Batsman Ever?

In this article I will be discussing who I believe is the best batsman of the modern era, In terms of the modern era I am defining it to my years of watching and playing cricket so over the last 15 years. I believe things such as ODI (One Day Internationals) and Test matches should be considered as a fair measure of aggregate runs and averages. Generally a quality batsmen is equally as great in all formats of cricket whether it be the tactical war like Test cricket or the big hitting fast paced One Day International cricket. I know at this point those cricket fans who are reading this are thinking what about T20, my answer is what about it? I think it will take some years before it is established and reaches out to the cricketing purist and in terms of this article I think we can neglect to include this relatively new format.
